It's that time of year again, buying notebooks and anything else that I need to survive another semester. This years going to be rough, my financial aid blows, thanks to the morons in the department of education that think on a 40k income between my mom and I, I should have a estimated family contribution of 10k. Are the flippin dumb, blind and deaf? Gas is almost $3 a gallon, Middletown just jacked up the water services, how the hell do they get I have an EFC of 10k? HELLO, can we say COST OF LIVING. I live on my own, I pay my own bills, my mom has her bills to pay, how the hell they come up with that number, I have no idea.
On top of that, you'd think that because I live on my own I would be an independent student...WRONG, I have to be married, have kids or be ex military...I'm sorry, but that is completely LAME. Why should it matter if I'm married, or whatnot? I support myself, I have a lease in my name, what the hell is wrong with our government?
