Father allegidly stabs baby
Speedway - Police are looking for a man suspected of stabbing his baby in the back.
It happened about 10:00 pm Wednesday night in the Hermitage Apartments behind the Speedway Shopping Center.
Police say a man, woman and their two children were in a car. There was an argument. The woman left the car to get a safety seat. The man then allegedly stabbed the 11-month-old boy in the back, threw him out of the car and took off.
Leveda Sandifer, a friend of the baby's mother, said when the mother brought the baby to her door, "The baby had the knife in his side right here on the left, still in him. He was bleeding and crying and still had good color. I believe it hit right up underneath his lung but if he moved it could be a danger that it would hit his lung," said Sandifer, who is a nurse.
The baby went to Wishard Hospital. The father got away in a dark blue Chevy Balibu with front end damage.

A lady I work with called me earlier tonight and said that her daughter's boyfriend stabbed their little boy because he was on PCP. I was in shock. This man thinks that the 11 month old baby is evil because he's phycho. The baby is going to lose part of his stomach, and his spleen and he may not make it at all. I was so mad I couldn't even think straight, but still, she didn't seem that angry. I asked how the mother was, and she said, "oh she's ok, she's waiting for the surgery to start." WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS FAMILY!?! I'm not close with them, and I've seen the baby maybe 5 times since he was born but I cried when I got off the phone, and these people are fine. If that was Lorna, I wouldn't be able to speak. This city makes me sick. I turned on the news and found out there the police found a man shot behind my work tonight. I can't take this anymore. It's like one thing after another. This story makes me charish my situation with Lorna even more. Lorna had a 0 to30% chance of survival when she was born. Life is very delicate, and people waste it by being so selfish. goodnight.
