School school. I'm at school... yes... and I'm using one of the rejected computers... windows 98... Wow... I haven't used my windows 98 in along time (at home at least)...
I've been trying to make at least one update per week :) to not lose contact of all of my friends on this ^_^.
I hope everyone is doing well! The weather is quite nice right now...It is fall, and yet it is a little sunny.
I think my typing is really loud.
:P ... the weekend is coming! and I have lots of tests coming up...
I hope I do well on the upcoming tests!!!
ahhh I was doing so well in english... I was getting 90% but now I'm getting 75%... ack... depressed XD
oh well.. that means I just have to work harder >< ;;;
ew english bugs me XD
hhahha oh dear... I'm trying so hard to send my bio notes to myself... but I can't for some reason...
I don't think windows 98 likes yahoo at this particular moment ^_^;;;
I'm so hungry... I ate all of my lunch during my morning block of math class...
the teacher didn't seem to care... cause I usually eat during his class...
sorry... I think I have to post my biology notes again on a count of e-mailing it to myself doesn't seem to be working too well.... hahhaha horray for slow computers ^_^
oh well... at least the keyboard is easy to type on...
for some reason , after all of these years, I still like desktops more than laptops...
I wonder why?
cheers

3. Hypotonic solution: the concentration of solute is lower in the solution than in the cell (net movement of H2O into cell)
(diagrams)
Lysisin animal cells Tungar pressure, in plant cels (cell membrane is pushed against the cell wall)
- the word "hypo" means less, in this case there are less solute (salt) molecules outside the cell, since salt sucks, water will move into the cell
- the cell will gain water and grow larger. The plants, the central vacuoles will fill and the plant becomes stiff and rigid, the cell wall keeps the plant from bursting
- in animal cells, the cell may be in danger of bursting, organelles called CONTRACTILE VACUOLES will pump water out of the cell to prevent this
- see fig. 4.7 (see diagram)
- Note: go to the following site of a "great" review
Mr.Fung says: waste will go to the salt solution, sugarà sucks the water from the fruit, thus, working as a preservative
