Rec: Star Trek TNG, "A Universal Force" (fic)
In the last 10 days or so I've been lucky enough to read 2 fantastic fanfics, which is quite rare considering that only 1% of fanfiction is good.
One of those 2 fanfics is "A Universal Force".

It's amazing how fanfiction writers boldly go where no pro-writers have gone before.
One of the most fascinating aspects of this fic is Lore's personality.
Eru_a depicts such an interesting relationship between the android brothers, such interesting ideas about what android sex would be like, and, close to the end of the story, such a wonderful insight of Dr. Soong's mind. Also she has the ability to paint beautiful and strong images with words, like Data's artificial heart beating wildly inside Lore's hand.
Although eru_a claim's her ideas aren't very original, I say the context and the way she connected those ideas made "A Universal Force" one of the most exciting works about artificial lifeforms I've read lately.
And, once again, fanfiction digs into themes and issues that TNG never dared to aboard. God bless the fans!
