books, time and all things in between
It vanished everything I typed. and here I was being straight forward and honest with myself. I can't repeat what I said.. I'm not all sure what was there.
To kill a Mockingbird..
started and finsihed last night. I should have read it earlier. In High School. But we didn't. That wasn't one of the books. Infact now that I think of it none of the books we DID read had anythign to do with anythign as difficult as racism and injustice. But some of the should have. Greek plays and old William. What a fast way to lose a teenage audience.. oh and Return of the Native which I found extream dislike for. (odd for me I've always loved reading.. me and my hoard of books claimed from the library that became devoured that same day)
Starting on Mrs. Dalloway now.. but I can't focus. Life and frustrations keep intruding upon the images of Mrs. Dalloway roaming the streets and her memories (maybe both in search of flowers?) The Hours helped inspire me to pick it up.. (though I like Virginia Woolf's writing long before the movie came out)
