Attempt to... actually be productive
Go me.
I suck. I know my last post was along the lines of "yay, I'm super going to post an awesome 'this is my life now' for everyone to read!" but I never did. I don't know if it's because of the laziness of myself or because I'm kind of nervous in getting back into this.
What's a fangirl to do without a regular fandom anymore?
But I suppose, for anyone interested, this is my life now:
1) I still work for the same company I did two years ago althought not with the same job. I've gotten promoted a couple of times (whee) and now have my very own office and just answer to the head of the company which, considering some of the supervisors, is super sweet. I work with money and numbers and yes, that fact still makes no sense to me.
2) I've actually done a lot of 'outside' stuff lately. Gone to see a ton of shows in the last year or so (ACL was the coolest thing I have ever done in Austin) which, for a music-phile like me, is a godsend. Saw Muse, Kings of Leon, Gogol Bordello, Aimee Mann, Gnarls Barkley, Massive Attack, heard Tom Petty at a distance, Matisyahu, the Greencards, Brazil and Snow Patrol, to name a few. Will see ACL this year (yay!) and the Family Values Tour, which makes me happy.
3) I went to NYC last September to visit my bestest redhead M. Saw 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee' and was able to catch a Yankee game in luxury box seats. The vacation was, frankly, amazing and I hope to go back there sometime soon.
4) Jackson continues to do well. He's a fab baby and gets cuter every day. (see pics below)
5) My OTB came here in December to visit. And since she hasn't posted this yet (I don't think she has, anyway), I suppose I shall.
...I think I'll be seeing a lot more of her soon.
But more on that later.
I also plan on uploading pics of this stuff soon along with posting again. And I won't take so long next time.
