Big Cities and Receding Hairlines
I GOT INTO MY ABROAD PROGRAM! Yay! I'm going to Salamanca!
Apparently I was supposed to apply to both Salamanca and Sydney at the same time, which I did not do, but I don't think they really care. It's just more annoying for me this way. Whatever.
I think I'm going to New York this summer, too. The internship sounds pretty spankin' good, and I figure there MUST be a way to convince my parents to help out with rent and such. ("But you pay JESSE'S rent! And he's a louse!") Something's gotta work. Plus, I basically have no choice at this point, according to my uncles. They've not only decided that I'm coming to New York for the summer, but they've planned who I'm going to date while I'm there. Some random guy...the cousin of my uncle's friend's son, maybe? Apparently, he's "SO hot, SO funny, and SO nice." Here's how the advertisement went:
David: (lists a bunch of random excellent qualities)...and most importantly, he's GORGEOUS.
Me: There must be a downside.
David: No, no downside at all.
Alan: Well, there's one thing...
David: No, don't tell her!
Alan: She'll find out sooner or later. He's...kind of balding.
Me: That's a problem. I like hair. Sorry guys.
David: You're so shallow! You could at least look at him first!
Me: And that would make me...less shallow?
David: He's SO hot.
Oh, well.
