Snake

Can anyone identify this beautiful baby whom I almost stepped on (barefoot)just now at my back door? I actually touched its tail, too, because I'm fucking insane. It then slithered underneath a tool rack.

This my friend, looks like a speckled kingsnake. They are non-venomous snakes found in the south, between Tennessee and Louisiana.

I concur. That is indeed a kingsnake. A nice long one. As to its gender I can not say as herpetology is not my strong suit.
