So I have returned unscathed from the Comic Expo and fortunately wasn't one of the thousands of people they had to turn away at the door due to fire code regulations. (Oh, Calgary. Planning, preparation, and then ambition, okay? It's admirable that you want to be the Canadian version of Comic-Con, but methinks you broke a couple thousand hearts ( Read more... )

Deb was not long suffering and loved going around everywhere with the Megan and seeing publishers too..but the I tweet badge was well deserved.

and christ, that dude could make burlap look good. Damn he's a sexy thing.

For me it was the 'in a fight between angel and spike who would end up on top' that did it. He enjoyed that.

Hee! Indeed! I shall network in a suede jacket and jeans now, mwuahaha! Although business cards where I don't have to scribble out the law firm info on the front before handing them out might be a nifty idea...

Thank ye! :D The signal in the building was just atrocious otherwise there would have been many more!

Holy cats, what a crowd!

*ponders* I wonder what it takes to be a vendor there... I did amazingly well at SteamCon.

I'm not sure what you have to do to get in there, but I believe the one fellow told me that his booth space had cost several hundred bucks for the weekend. Mind you, it opens up a potential audience of 50,000+ buyers! :D Sorry about the late reply here.

That's cheap! Seattle FolkLife Festival is a minimum of $2,000 to vend for the weekend. :-O

I sold for two days at Steamcon, and made up all my expenses in the first hour I was there (including hotel, food, etc.). I came away with almost $2,000 in profit, and it was considered a fairly smallish crowd.
