Noise from rest of house: *pitter-patter of kitty feet*
Megan: *type-type-type* ... ???
Noise from rest of house: *SUSPICIOUS SILENCE*
Megan: "Gwen, I certainly hope you're not on the kitchen counter!"
Noise from rest of house: ... *thump of kitty jumping off kitchen counter*
So suffice to say, we're settling into a routine nicely here. *G*
Turns out she's terrified of the doorbell and hid under the bed for a good couple of hours after some dude tried to sell me a newspaper subscription, but the shelter did say that she was shy, so that's probably to be expected. Oh! And the furnace made a weird noise last night, so she promptly hid herself behind my knees while I was attempting to sleep and started growling, thus scaring the hell out of me, and then remained in bed while I went to check if there was an ax murderer or something... A guard-cat, she is not! But aside from her couple of scaredycat moments, she seems quite content here. :)
