So! Update for those who've not yet been subjected to my TALE OF WOE on Twitter... The virus I had on my laptop last week was not actually gone but lurking and doing more damage to the mysterious but critical bits of my computer. This only confirms my belief that computers are both terrifying and entirely capable of sensing my fear. I'm completely unable to boot it up without immediate Blue Screen of Death now and the tech fellow can't do anything with it until I bring it in on Monday. (Good thing I'm passing through Calgary on the way to the Lethbridge interview, eh?)
Which is why I'm sitting here aaaall alone in the law library on a Friday night! It's like the rest of the faculty have, like, social lives or something. Weird... *g*
But yes. Communication may be intermittent until I get this sorted out, but I'll probably be in here homeworking and NaNoing my heart out most of tomorrow at least. This whole 'thwarted at every single turn' business with NaNo has only strengthened my resolve, y'all. This goddamn story WILL be written. I'll do 50,000 words even if I have to cheat and go a couple days into December with it.
Oh man, I'll have to bring music tomorrow. It's horror-movie silent in here! 8-D
In conclusion: Eggnog Latte. Not as good as pumpkin spice, but better than you might expect. *g*
