It's a silly time to learn to swim when you start to drown

I'm having a random attack of national pride here and you know what that means?

It means it's time to pimp a bunch of random Canadian indie rock!! (Obviously.) I'll just link you lovelies to the music videos for these on YouTube, since I don't actually own all of these, alas.

Metric Saw the lead singer doing an acoustic bit on the local news and was immediately won over.
- Gimme Sympathy (Sneakily clever video!)
- Monster Hospital (Um... disturbing video? But good song.)

Tokyo Police Club
- Your English Is Good (Such a catchy song, and if this isn't the most Canadian music video you've ever seen, I don't know what is!)
- Nature of the Experiment

Marianas Trench (More pop-punk than indie rock, but whatever.)
- All To Myself (Dorky-endearing video! Bwah!)

Tegan & Sara I will continue to pimp the hell out of these two until everybody adores them as much as I do. Charming queer Calgarian twins! What's not to love??
- Back In Your Head (My second favourite song of theirs.)
- Living Room (Aaaand my very favourite. Do you hear how they effin' harmonize?)
- My Number (This would be my favourite, but the damn thing makes me cry if it catches me in the right mood. *g* Could only find a live version of this one, but they are just as good live. Seriously.)

And if at this point you're going "Megan, I don't believe you! You totally forgot (insert staple of Canadian indie-rock-ness here)!", feel free to smack me upside the head with it in the comments. *g*

I'm mildly disturbed by the fact that I managed to get four punctuation marks in a row in the middle of that last sentence and it's still grammatically sound.

ETA: Other names of note: The Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene
