So I accidentally hit an inauspicious combination of keys just now and (briefly!) managed to delete all 60 pages of my NaNo story. :-D
In the shrieks of horror between that moment and my remembering that the 'Undo' button would save me the trouble of having to fling myself out the nearest window, the word "fucketing" may have been invented. (Now I'm just trying to determine its proper usage! Hee!)
In conclusion: Remember to make back-up copies of your stories, kids, unless you too want to invent fabulous new curses!
(In other NaNo-related news, the title for chapter eleven is "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Ten Chapters Of UST?" and it is remaining that way.)
In non-NaNo but still writing-related news, I just found a little note I'd left for myself back when I was writing 'Drift Factor', reminding me to somehow work in that the Time Agency's motto should be 'Ad Vitam Aeternam' ('For All Time') and I FORGOT. Drat.
Now... I must be off to resolve the fact that I have no chocolate in my apartment and my bread has gone colourfully moldy.
