Good day!
Today I:
- made an appointment for an oil change and state inspection on Friday
- made an appointment and went to the eye doctor (gotta make sure I take full advantage of my insurance this week!)
- went to PT
- went to Best Buy and then T-Mobile to make sure I'm paying the lowest amount I can for my phone (I feel confident I am)
Ok, so that's only four things, but I was out of my apartment for a lot of hours and still feel pretty good about it. I technically completed everything on my to do list, so that's good. So I am in a pretty good mood. I'm feeling much better about things in general and about myself. My final goal for the day is to write a cover letter and send my resume to my dad so that he can forward it to an old friend of his who works for a government contractor.
I made my to do list for the rest of the week. It's decently long, but it also includes stuff like showering, eating, and doing my nails. I am planning to go to the library tomorrow and get a card and check out the place in general. I do better at working/have to kind of things out of my apartment and would really prefer not getting in the habit of going to Panera or Starbucks. Maybe I'll ask about volunteering too.
Anyway. In other fantastically wonderfully amazing news, MY SISTER IS GONNA HAVE A BABY!!!!! I'm gonna be an aunt! I am going to be the coolest, best, awesomest aunt in the world. I will find a job just to buy my way into that child's heart, gd it! She's due at the end of February (on my bro-in-law's birthday!) and is going to be such a great mom. They've been married six years (as of yesterday) and part of the reason they waited to have kids is to get themselves into a position where she can be a stay-at-home mom. I am seriously just super excited for them. They're going to try for #2 right away too. :D
Now. Off to write a cover letter and then read the fic I have open in tabs. And hopefully get to bed at a decent hour.
