Hey all! You should check out
simstorylibrary, if you haven't already. It's goal is to become a comprehensive listing of sim stories, with a description and summary of each, and a place for reader reviews and critique. It's just getting started, but you should check it out and post your story info if you've ever written a sims story (I'm not entirely sure if they accept discontinued unfinished works, but I hope so, since I can count on one hand the number of sims stories I've read and loved that were actually completed... maybe even just one finger. ETA: They do! ^_^), and leave a review if you're a reader. If participation is good, this should be a great reference for finding sim story content.
On that note, I plan to post an entry for Strangetown, Here We Come, but I was wondering about the genre(s) I should list. I tend to think it leans more towards drama than comedy, but I'm curious to hear what others think, because one is not always the best judge of one's own work. It's a bit of an awkward blend of the two, I think. I could go with comedy-drama, but that also seems too heavy on the comedy end. Any thoughts? I'm also thinking that romance (maybe, because that's a very specific genre), family saga, and serial might also apply as genres. I'd love to hear what others who have read the story think.
