(I ascribe to the "do one thing, do it well" school of writing. I tried writing about some straight people once, and ended up in a gigglefit of epic proportions.)
Sorry for the Dreaded Double, but there is a book on Google Books or Virtual Library or something called "It Was Marlowe" that was written in 1895 and is like a highway wreck of a caramel-sauce truck and a poultry van as far as its levels of cracky conjecture and WOEFUL dialogue. You should look it up!

This one shows the contusion damage that would probably result to the frontal lobe if the knife went straight on instead of angling down past the optic nerve; the dura mater would probably also have been penetrated, with nasty infectious implications, if the knife didn't veer.
