I'm not even sure I should complain; I should just work like a zombie and stay laser focused so I don't get overwhelmed. I have a lot to do over the next 2 days. But my MRI results came back from the bike accident I had on the 24th and it turns out that my ACL is torn. I really, really, really don't want to deal with surgery. I also have a small fracture so I'm supposed to avoid putting too much weight on my leg for awhile. Supposedly you can jog and cycle even without the ACL (which supports lateral motion), but I can't imagine going climbing with it.

Larson says that they typically like to delay surgery until I've recovered full range of motion from the leg (but he's not sure how a fracture plays into the treatment timeline), so only after I'm at the point where I can jog/cycle will the surgery occur -- which means that as soon as I'll be able to move around again, I have to undergo surgery and will therefore be out for another 8 weeks for post-operation recovery. I might be able to start swimming, though, and the thought is cheering me up, but I won't do it until I check with the doc.

I'll be back the weekend of March 19th, right before you move. I'm glad you picked a date but also glad that you're giving yourself more time to get packed up/saved up. Unlike your whiny Facebook friends, I would never say that I'm sad you're leaving the east coast when you feel strongly that it's the right thing for you to do, even though I'll surely miss seeing you on my visits home. I do hope I'll catch you though!
