Quickie updates

Haven't updated lately, but not for a lack of stuff to post about.

Quickly:
Went to Solstice Parade by myself, had an okay time, yes there were nude bicyclists (although painted).
Went to Renton after that, had assorted drama that ended up with a guy in a car pointing a gun at me.
Decided never to go to Renton again.

Found a note on my door today from my Condo Board saying that someone had complained about my air conditioner.
Stewed the rest of the morning about typical passive aggressive Seattle bullshit.
Finally decided that this went with my own typical passive aggressive Seattle tactic of installing the unit without talking to the condo board head (although to be fair, I did ask my property manager who "couldn't get ahold" of the condo board guy), figuring that permission is harder to get than forgiveness.

Wow, it's been longer than I thought since I updated.

Got my new coffee table and barstools -- the coffee table has two glass shelves. The top one is tempered glass, the bottom is frosted and has wheels on it, so it will rotate around to be vaguely L-shaped. Each shelf is kidney shaped.

The barstools are dark wood and sorta Pi shaped. They also are not the ones I ordered but are actually nicer than those would've been, so I'm happy.

Obviously my a/c was installed as well, although now I'm a little annoying (also the note details that they will let me keep it but I have to get rid of it at the end of the summer).

I haven't followed up on this at all yet and am not sure if I'd even remotely have permission to do this, but I've been thinking here and there about getting a dog. Specifically a Boston Terrier, since they're supposed to be excellent apartment dogs and easy to maintain (not big shedders but don't need to be groomed really, etc.) Also they'd be a panty-dropper (and give me a reason to get out of the house a few times a day, heh). So yeah.

Tonight's the first kickball game of the new season, looking forward to it. I hate offseason, heh.

Also I guess I didn't post about my previous trip to Renton. It involved a rigged game of Pictionary (or I was accused of rigging it, anyway, despite everyone having agreed upon the rules beforehand) and Jersey Girl yelling in my goddamned ear during the game (which still pisses me off, she would yell READY right into my ear while I was talking to people as if I was the goddamned designated timekeeper). I realized that I probably should have left around the time that Kevin and Larry started playing "lightsaber," heh. This consisted of 5' long wooden sticks being doused in kerosene and lit and then dueling with them. And when that wasn't enough, they wrapped kerosene-doused RAGS around them.

Jesus.

Went to one of the better M's games I've ever seen on Friday. It was a team-building event with my co-workers (and on my own time, which made me not look forward to it), but it ended up rocking. Ichiro hit a leadoff homer, Barry Bonds hit #718 and then with two outs, M's leading 5-4, JJ Putz struck Bonds the fuck out to end the game. This is only behind the game where Ichiro broke the hits record in my estimation.

I'm on stage 2 of my grillz, they hurt like a motherfucker the first day (and I honestly thought that I skipped a few stages when I tried to put them on, they're that much tighter). I'm on my 3rd day now and they slip right on now and feel okay. Those first two days though, ow. I'd have random tooth soreness that would feel like a cavity (including some temperature sensitivity). I've got 19 stages left (which roughly takes me into March '07) before I'm done (barring any fine-tuning). That's not really bad, I was expecting at least a year's worth.

My metro-kit has been fleshed out -- I now have Zirh Correct, which is some sort of vitamin enriched facial goo to be used pre-moisturizer. Also have Zirh Rejuvenate, which is the most expensive piece in the kit, but it seems to work okay so far. I got a new Zirh body bar too, this one's vitamin enriched (previously I had the normal body bar and it did okay). And now I got some Bumble n' Bumble hair stuff, their Tonic shampoo (with tea tree oil and other stuff, peppermint extract I think), Alojoba conditioner (which is the most fun thing to say ever) and Tonic foundation spray. So yeah, I'm a woman.

Think I'm gonna head over to my folks' house for July 1st-3rd (and then head back early to miss traffic). It's been awhile since I've been over there and I've been having the urge to hit the road for about a month now.

Anyway, back to work.
