It continues!
The first round of antibiotics didn't knock out the infection. Starting tomorrow, I go on a new course of more aggressive antibiotics. This one is two weeks. Fortunately, I'm only have the symptoms of pain, but all I can take for it is extra strength tylenol. Advil & Alleve can actually irritate the infection.
I actually wound up in the ER over last weekend because urgent care sent me there afraid it was my appendix or kidney stones. Both were ruled out and I was told to see a GI. Lucky for me, I don't need referrals with my insurance and an appointment opened up for today, which I took. I also had a visit with my regular doctor today. Who suspected the infection was still there just by looking at the ER'S blood work reports. Elevated white blood cell count and reactionary proteins = body battling infection. The GI saw that and agreed. Hopefully in two weeks I will be feeling better, but I have a follow up in a month just in case. If I don't feel better it'it's time for icky procedures to check out my intestines.
