If I were really tempted to go the borzoi route I think I would opt for the Irish Wolfhound instead.
I think they are fairly close relatives... and I think the reason I like Borzois so much now is because there used to be an Irish wolfhound loose in the park I used to play in a lot as a child... he wasn't homeless but I think he was a rover.
