Hey all. Happy Month of the Gaaaays!
This Tuesday, June 12th I'll be performing at a fabulous Queer Arts Festival event called Home Queer Home.
And then again at Transforming Community on June 21st. For both of these shows I'll be reading rather than playing music. (Well maybe a little music for Home Queer Home).
Nerve racking I tell ya! Give me a guitar and a tired old song any day! So yes, I'm challenging and pushing myself as a performer blah blah blah. Come check out Home Queer Home and possibly see me in a dress, with a mullet, and full frontal nudity in the chestal region.

A queer cabaret exploring the journey from family of origin
to Family.
Join us at this multi media cabaret featuring dance, film,
spoken word, stories, songs, smut and more as we all try to
work out, define, examine and create a new vision of home.
Featuring: Storm Florez, Cindy Emch, Daphne Gottlieb
(including a collaboration with filmmaker Sabrina Alonso),
Justin Kolling, HumiltySwim, Esther Zinn and Mollena
Williams.

Transforming Community (part of the National Queer Arts
Festival)
TransForming Community explores the friction at the
intersection of contemporary trans and queer communities.
With a burgeoning transsexual community growing in tandem
with a genderqueer movement, what are the issues that arise
when non-trans queers share cultural space with transpeople
and genderqueers? With distinctly different needs and
identities, what needs to be worked out between the
transsexual and genderqueer and queer communities?
An extensive question and answer session follows each
performance.

deVries, Madison, Sarafina S. Maraschino, Nico Dacumos,
Susan Stryker and Tina Butcher
