why do we go to the lord in prayer and say things we don't mean? do u ever find yourself talking to god but your attention is divided between what you did during the day or what you will be doing tomorrow? either way, you are not completely focused on the words that are to be praising him. do u ever pray for a relationship whether it be with a friend, significant other, whatever, but what you're really asking is that he like what you've picked out? u see these questions and think im going crazy yet when was i ever perfect? i slip and fall all the time and wouldnt he rather me come to him and tell him that i struggle with my faith. that i struggle with believing that he will get my friend out of the hospital. i pray about it yet i am continually shocked when he actually follows through. i just need to sit down and come to him just as i am and not try to be something im not. he sees right through me.
