[Well, Captain Aubrey has been in Luceti one night, arrived by the good will - or not - of Captain Sparrow and Lieutenant Kennedy and survived by the grace of Captain Hornblower's hospitality. Hazzah!
But, as a man from his time, he feels indebted (how does that always happen to him?) and therefore must do something to repay him in any small way possible.
Upon hearing that no one in this house could cook, Aubrey had an idea. Food would be a perfect! He could cook rather well for a sea-captain, he thought. He still applied many of his own eating habits to the making of meals but - with these two it shouldn't be a problem!
So here he is, walking around town in clothes that don't fit him at all with Hornblower to make sure he didn't get lost.]
