Why is this a holiday?

I dont understand, its new years day. It is just a normal Sunday, other than the fact that alot of people hung over. Why wasn't anything open? I guess that is just AMC poisoning my thoughts. AND the fact that the Full Lock DVD hasn't come out yet is ghey.
If you didn't read the first part...I pretty much didn't get my tattoo today, but I have scheduled it for Tuesday, which I am very excited for. I don't think that my parents are going to kick me out, even though the threat is still there. They have decided to play the "I'm dissapointed in you" card.
What's to be dissapointed about. I don't do drugs, I'm actually in school and doing well, I have a job and Im self sufficient on myself (except for room and board, food, and clothing). Is getting a tattoo really going to destroy my life. I don't think so, but my mother sure does.
Other than that, Cameron came over today and he joined the Norman Drive boys on rhythm guitar. Now all we need is a bassist and we will be set. Other than that, im pissed I have to wait till Tuesday.
