(no subject)
Well, got over a few more bumps at work. Things haven't changed much, if at all, which is probably mostly good, but a little bad. But I'm alive, I have my health and family and friends. I guess I can't ask for more?
Dug out an older game, Jedi Knight 2 a little while back and finally got around to beating it. It's a pretty good game over all. Not all of it's just run around shot and kill things. There's actually some levels that require some stealth. Also you use the force powers a lot more, including more intelligently this time. At one point you get stuck and the only door is locked. The guy on the other side of the window can unlock it, but you have to stop and think of using the Jedi mind trick to get them to unlock it. All the same, it's fun towards the end when they send 2 dozen storm troopers after me and they all end up dead. How many troopers have to die before they'll realize that just trying to shoot me won't work? Basically just stand there deflecting all of the shots with the light saber and they're all dead after a while. Also fun fighting AT-ST's, which should be the 2-legged walkers. They shoot missiles at me, only to have me use force push to send the rocket shooting back at them. Also fun to just yank a squad of troopers across the room when they all get too close. That aside, I think the final boss was a let down, but then again, maybe it's a sign to just crank up the difficulty level and try again!
