Today I finished up the second week of SMART this year and I've got a 3rd grader and a 6th grader to read with every Thursday. Both students are really focused and already seem to enjoy their time spent with books. Should be a great year.
I've got an appointment to give another pint of blood at the Red Cross tomorrow morning. I actually got two reminder calls whereas one used to suffice. The caller said that they were doubling up on the phone calls to get more donations. Chances are they'll have to send some to So Cal to help offset the loss of donations because of the fires. Get into the Halloween spirit and donate some blood or some time. So if'n ya want to throw in and help, links have been provided.
