Exciting. I'll be going to Ft. Worth for a week in August, to visit the corporate headquarters of the company I'm working for. Not only is it an all-expense-paid trip, but we also earn our salary on top of that.
Then I'll come back to Lawrence for one night, and leave for Puerto Rico the next day! Hell yea. I'll make it back to Lawrence the night before fall classes start.
Anyway, my boss has been out of town. I have no work to do. I sit in my cube, read software manuals, and browse our Intranet. But I have to be there. By 7:30 a.m. But hell, I'm making mad cash.
I'm going home for the weekend..for a wedding, Father's Day, and a huge ice cream tasting. Hopefully we'll make it to Mystic Lake too..I haven't been to the casino since coming back to this country.
Last night I had one great time at the Royals game. What was originally supposed to be 6 people turned into just J-Meitl and I, and man, did we tailgate! That girl can drink...had about a 1-oz. net lead on me on every beer. It was buck night [$1 hot dogs, peanuts, and Pepsi]. And the Royals won...not that I cared.
The weather is beautiful, wish you were here.
