... I am not going to try and format this over here.

I wrote about this past week's Glee over at WordPress--grief and growing up and holy cats, Chris Colfer has shoulders, man!

gnadige, if you want to read something slightly more coherent than what I dumped onto FB, go check it out. (Also, I totally name-checked you.)

my friends rock, tv will swallow my soul, also on wp

Well, you remember me watching and then not-watching and then half-watching Glee for the first two seasons--then around the beginning of season 3, it really started to work for me. I'm not totally sure why--did it actually improve? Did how I see it change?--but, you know, people like or don't like stuff, whatevs. As long as you aren't trying to tell me how much I suck for liking the show, we're cool. :)

(Pacing, though, I hear you--when it's on it's really on, but when the pacing falls apart it's a mess.)

My thoughts on some of your thoughts:

5 -- see, I watch (or am subjected to) a lot of really bad movies, so I think I may have a higher threshold for bad acting than you do. :) I'm willing to cut everyone some slack on their performances in this episode, though, considering the circumstances. That said, I liked Puck's character arc through the episode, but that scene was rather jarring, yes--and when I find myself thinking about Dot-Marie Jones and how she plays Bieste with regard to gender expectations rather than getting pulled into the scene, well, yeah. :)

I did like what they did with Santana and Puck and anger; it was interesting.

6 -- seriously, Chris Colfer's the best actor on that show, and there are a number of people doing some really good work on it. Jason and I have talked a lot about how he really knows how to act for a camera--there are a lot of subtle things going on with him, even when Kurt is being over-the-top.
