Summary: Written for this prompt Jensen finds out shortly after filming wraps on In My Time of Dying that he is pregnant. He knows it's Jeff's baby, but he doesn't know how to tell Jeff. Everything's all worked out at SPN. They'll shoot around the pregnancy. Jensen keeps trying to tell Jeff, but can't do it. Until six months later, Jeff arrives to film his cameo in All Hell Breaks Loose.
The meeting with Eric and the other producers was just as he thought, long, drawn out and boring. He didn’t see the need for them to be there in the first place and with the issues that were being discussed that flew right over the actors heads just cemented his earlier claims. But that was before the last statement was uttered by one of the producers.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan better known as John Winchester was returning to film a part in the upcoming episode ‘All Hell Breaks Loose’.
Jensen for the most part had been completely disinterested in what was being said and had somehow tuned out the noise in the room up until that point. His head suddenly snapped up and his face drained of all colour while his blood seemed to run cold instantly though no one seemed to notice, not even Jared who was sitting next to him.
There’s no way this was happening to him, no way he could allow Jeff to return to set before he informed him about baby; it wouldn’t be fair for him to walk into that kind of situation or be surprised like that considering everyone who was important already knew about the pregnancy and that Jeff was the father.
Once the meeting was dismissed Jensen ignored everyone and hurried from the room as though hell hounds were on his heel. He needed to talk to Jeff like yesterday, needed to inform him about the pregnancy before he showed up and saw Jensen in his current state. Because there was no hiding that he was pregnant since he was close to seven months pregnant and looked like he swallowed a beach ball.
It was definitely in his best interest that he contacted the father of his baby right this minute. Looking around his trailer for his phone he found it on the table under some papers he’d been reading earlier and proceeded to scroll through his list of contacts until he came to Jeff’s name and number. It was now or never. But one thing was certain if he failed to inform Jeff of his pregnancy before he arrived on set there’s no way things were going to end well if Jeff found out from someone else.
Pressing the call button he listened as the line on the other end began to ring; then crossing
his fingers in hope that Jeff would pick up soon before he lost his nerves and the lunch he’d consumed a few hours before.
But of course nothing ever worked out the way he planned it and instead of getting Jeff’s deep soothing voice he got his voicemail which just serves to piss him off.
“Damn it Jeff where are you?”
“I need to speak to you urgently, so when you get this message please call me whatever the hour.” sighing heavily he hung up the phone and tossed it back on the table, a heavy and uneasy feeling settling in his stomach.
Something at the back of his mind was telling him that he had missed his window of opportunity by waiting this long to tell Jeff and that if Jeff didn’t return his call and arrived before they spoke all hell really would break loose.
