I shall tell you a tale of an Order of old,
With swords of bright steel and hearts of gold
Who one by one fell from their height
And fell with their world into terrible plight.
Red and blue and green and white!
Terrible powers and terrible might
Imprisoned the gods and freed the land
But nothing, ever, goes quite as it's planned.
The first Knight's armor sported a crack
When he loved a maid with armor black.
So blinded was he by love's bright sheen,
He'd crown darkness itself and make it his Queen.
Red and blue and green and white...
Ancient founder of Order bold,
Took a bloodied Spear from hands gone cold
Battled darkness without, an embodiment of sin
But fell in the end to darkness within.
Red and blue and green and white...
The second Knight did flee the land
Avoiding capture by marriage's hand
A Weir's death also would be pondered
Far from home, unknown it wandered.
Red and blue and green and white...
Warlike Knight with Spear of red,
Struck by demonkin till dead
Body lost in rivers of blood
Among the corpses trampled in mud.
Red and blue and green and white...
Hm. No, clearly not finished yet. However, I am too tired to think of a good rhyme for exile and there are still two verses outstanding for fates unknown. But a fair start, even if not exactly tavern fare.
