Plug for a Story/Need advice from my flist
Two things today:
1. I'm working on a Depression-era story featuring my two favorite characters. Here's what I'd like to know. How much money could Jeeves have conceivably saved after working for Bertie for about four years? I'm looking at, say, from 1925-1929. Keep in mind that in book canon, Bertie's pals were always handing money to Jeeves for services rendered. I was thinking in the neighborhood of 1,200 pounds? Or would that be too much for the time period? Any ideas or opinions will help.
