TV

I had a hankering to watch the Lions play the Cowboys today, but discovered that our digital TV box and bunny ears can no longer give me ABC, NBC, CBS or Fox. All I get are the public TV stations (which on Sunday are inundated with church shows), ION stations, some cartoon network and a bunch of infomercial stations. For a minute, I got caught up with a DVD offer for the old Midnight Special shows which I know for a fact were glorious, but I wisely said no to that.

For us, cable is not affordable. We can't really use Hulu because streaming eats up our bandwidth, and anyway, we'd all have to gather around my 15-inch laptop since our ancient TV lacks the necessary hookups. Looks like more trips to Family Video are in our future. At least that place is well stocked with seasons of the most popular shows.
