Just a few things
1. I understand (but can't recite from memory) Euclid's postulates. This scares me as I rarely have a full understanding of anything mathematical.
2. I fear a friend of mine is becoming a hoarder. He got a bit upset with me because I recycled a flimsy plastic container (once held store-bought cookies) instead of returning it. When I mentioned the container cracked when I opened it, that didn't matter; he still wanted it back which is impossible because it went to the recycling place. Weird. I have other evidence of this hoarding thing, but I won't get into it here because it's too scary. Makes me want to toss out even more stuff to kind of even things out.
3. As I am a dumbass when it comes to biting off more than I can chew, I called a local high school and offered to do a NaNo project with a few kids. The principal is thrilled and wants me to come in and chat. Why do I do crap like this? I can't think it's because I'm nice. I must be a masochist.
4. I'm sort of proud of my fanfic output in the past month or so. It's not even close to what a lot of you do, but after a long dry spell, it felt good to contribute again. Let's see - 4 Strachey stories, 3 Save Me stories and a Raffles story - and I've got two more to write before smallfandomfest ends Jan. 31. I'm writing a longer Strachey story, but in light of recent events, the ending to that one had to change. More on that later.
It's unfair that some people simply get better looking the older they get.
This is Sebastian Spence, by the by. He'll be part of the cast in Starz' new 11-week series "Camelot," beginning in April. I won't be able to see it until it comes out on DVD, of course - no cable in this house.
