All right Southern ladies

Tell me the secret to sausage gravy. I had a friend in Jr High who was from Atlanta and her mom made the best biscuits and gravy. I am having a hankering for these and figure making it while Ed is gone is the best time, so as not to thwart his WW plans (let just ignore the fact that I shouldnt be eating this stuff either lol ( Read more... )

I think it really depends on what you want, but honestly, the browned sausage/flour/milk/S&P is the easiest bet, and what I would do if I actually were to make that, seeing I've never made any...you're making me hungry for it, though ;)

milk? Really? I've always just used water. Will have to try that.

I'm more of a mashed potato girl - we have "bangers and mash" quite often, with gravy.

Oh, thyme or rosemary - very nice additions to gravy along with the S&P.

Oh lordy, of course. I could only remember Christy, but she was from Texas, so I knew that wasn't right.

What ever happened to Shana? Did she graduate with you guys? I don't really remember her later in high school, just jr. high.
