Che.

Near the market.

[start of action log]

[puts down the brush as soon as he's done writing and takes a puff from his pipe. He hasn't seen Doumeki in a while since he was at their temple when Yuuko disappeared, and he was somewhat reluctant to meet him. It was awkward, seeing a reminder of his past after being changed through traveling. Yet here they were. He still didn't know why it was Doumeki's will to travel with him when they didn't see eye-to-eye with one another, and that bothered him.

This was going to be an interesting reunion.]

[Ovelia steps in, glancing around the corner and watching Watanuki a moment, thoughtfully, before sitting down near him.]

...So he is coming?

[it only takes him a few minutes to find the caravan - he knows it well, and to his eyes, it sticks out. he glances around, then heads over to the caravan, dressed in traveling clothes and carrying a half-empty pack.

he heads over to the caravan, knocks once, and then just pokes his head in, voice low]

Oiiy?

[He nods, and the corners of his lips twist in a wry smile.]

He is. I guess I should have expected something like this.

[Watanuki continues to smoke, quelling the tension in his stomach, and glares the first chance he gets at the person who's now at his doorway. It was such a rude greeting, and it escaped Watanuki how Doumeki's father could have missed weeding that out.]

Don't call me 'oi'.

[Ovelia even noticed how rude it was. But maybe that was just how he was...? Maybe it wasn't a sign of disrespect.

She had been given similar greetings by acquaintances during her travels...

So she smiled at him, and bowed her head in greeting.]

Hello, sir.

[it's definitely not a sign of disrespect, in this case, but they have an interesting relationship. he slides all the way inside as Watanuki glares, taking that and the 'don't call me oi' line as an invitation into the caravan. looks at Ovelia and ducks his head slighty]

Hello. I'm Doumeki.

[Yes, it's a sign of welcome - Watanuki expects him to barge in anyway, because it's what Doumeki does. He gestures at the third available cushion at one corner of the table that's opposite of him and adjacent to Ovelia. He gives the two a chance to introduce themselves to each other as surveys Doumeki, noting the subtle changes that showed in his face and posture as he took another drag from his pipe.

The same, but different. More purposeful. Why?]

[She smiles, tucking some hair behind her ear--her braids had been let down, as earlier she had apted for a ponytail while she tended to the care of her weapons--her bow was constantly needing care, even when it was not in use--and had forgotten to redo her hair.

He doesn't seem a bad sort.]

I am Ovelia. It is a pleasure to meet you, Ser Doumeki.

[he watches Watanuki for a moment, inhaling the scent of his tobacco for a moment, and then settles down on the cushion, cross-legged, setting aside his pack and the archery case he has with him, glancing over at Ovelia again]

Good to meet you, Ovelia. [and he pauses for a moment, watching her] Just Doumeki's fine.

[and he glances over at Watanuki again] I have the bow with me.

[Ovelia and Doumeki would probably get along. Doumeki wasn't mean to girls, in any case, so it seemed that most of his headaches would come from Doumeki himself. If Reimu dropped by and tea was served, on the other hand...

He shakes his head to get rid of the thought and glances at the pack Doumeki had put down.]

Your father allowed it?

[Ovelia decided not to say anything. Rather, had looked at the bow with interest. Fascination, even. He was an archer?

She was only an intermediate student, but most warriors she had met were most skilled with the sword, rather than the bow. It was always interesting to see one with that skill.

Her bow was of a good build--good wood, though certainly a lot more flashy than most...but Doumeki's was superior to hers. That much was not just certain, it was just a fact of life. Still, it was a wonder...]

[he has the archery case at his side, observing it for a moment, fingers trailing over the ornate leather case its in, with the glove. his hakama is in his bag. glances up at Ovelia after a moment, as she looks at the case curiously he lifts it up and opens it to expose one end of the bow, his fingers moving with equal reverence over the bamboo frame, watching her watch it and then turning his attention to Watanuki again]

He can't use it, anyhow.

[He sees the shine Ovelia's taken to the bow, and Watanuki smiles. That was something he hadn't know of before. While he himself wasn't one for using weaponry, he could see the grace that one could have when practicing with them.

Watanuki serves the tea to both Ovelia and Doumeki, turning his thoughts back to their discussion. Such a cutting comment, that was.]

He may be worried about you.

[Of course, he was still trying to discourage Doumeki, never mind that it's been an exercise in futility before.]

[Ovelia's eyes sparkle as she looks at it, but then stops, blushing a bit at her own over-exuberance.

It was rude to stare. So to distract herself, she instead decided to just listen to the conversation, glancing at Doumeki a moment.]
