So, I'll be 35 next week. According to psychology by now my personality has crystalized and is unlikely to change. I wish it had crystalized as one of those angelic always-nice people, or at least as less inclined to nasty snark when my temper runs out, but I guess being fiesty is a plus. I could've turned out worse.

Grandparents are doing better. Grandmom is well enough to give me the look of grandparental disgust when she heard about my road trip to a toy expo. =D

Which was a lot of fun. It's been a while since I've been over the mountains and I forgot how different the air smells. The expo was a bit disappointing for me; all boy toys! My friends like both boy and girl toys but I'm all about dolls and ponies and miniatures. So I only scored a very beat up but overpriced bait pony (which cleaned up nicely. G1s have such charming faces, more expressive than later ponies.) and some MLP trading cards which sadly proved less good for putting into resin than I'd hoped. (and not enough Princess Luna cards!)

Then we hit a used bookstore which was good, a comic-and-toys store where I scored some SM playing cards with Marco Albiero's artwork. This store turned out to be next to the local Goodwill so I got to go in and meet my counterpart in their book department. Just getting out of Reno with my friends was such a treat.
