I had the same feelings just recently.. I don't believe in love at first sight but that doesn't stop me from watching love-at-first-sight themed dramas/movies. I guess they are expecting too much from this drama. But it's not right to blame the actors since like you said there are many factors the can affect the rating.. I personally think, Jun's acting is good. He's improved a lot since Hanadan..

My only complain in episode 1 is, the love-at-first-sight theme is contradicting to Taiga's narration at the start of the drama (he said he wish to love a woman that will accept him for who he is). Obviously, you cannot know if the person accepted you for who you are in your first meeting. You have to know more about that person before you can actually say "ahh, she or he accepted me for who I am". To me, the writer just failed to explain in episode 1 why Taiga fell in love with Shiori at that moment. Why he's fallen in love when he doesn't know if Shiori accepted him in their first meeting. Judging by Shiori's action after she helped Taiga, it doesn't look like she accepted Taiga.

In reality, we sometimes make decisions that is unplanned. We make plans but instead something happened that is totally different from what we planned. This is the law of nature I guess. We can't just control everything. BUT THERE'S A REASON WHY THAT HAPPENED. This for me, is lacking in episode 1. The writer wasn't able to explain. Maybe that's why others think that the story is dragging, it's slow.

However, I still enjoyed the drama. Actually, I just finished episode 2. I really enjoyed it especially the interaction of Umi and Taiga. It's so cute. For sure, I will finish this drama 'til the end. ^-^

I love Jun's acting here. I love the way he use his eyes in conveying his message. He's really improving. That's what I like in him. He's so passionate in his craft. ^____^

I haven't though of that. I like how you analyze the 1st episode. I agree with you about the first episode. It was a good episode but like you said it was lacking something that may also be the reason why the 2nd episode's ratings' drop.

I know what you are feeling. Jun definitely improved since hanadan and it is sad that it is being overshadowed by issues like this. It is totally unfair to Jun and all the people working behind natsuniji to be treated and judged like this.

I hope people would stop doing this because it is very annoying of them.
