Bob and Erin and I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the other day. It was REALLY weird! Bob kept singing the oompa loompa song and Erin and I threw our popcorn at him. We had a lot of fun!
Yesterday's Dickson show was a lot of fun. Harris was perfect, we constantly placed high in the over fences, had an absuloutly perfect round, but then I went off course :( I ended up getting a first in the Eq over fences 2'6, a second in the Low Hunters 2'3, a first in the bareback eq class (torture) a second in the eq flat, I think I got a 2nd in the walk trot open, they had us drop our irons as a work of type of thing. It was torture going up and down hill, cause the arena is at a slant. I got a 3rd in the 2'6 jumpers, and a 4th in the 2'9 jumpers with a jump off time of 30.75, the winner was 27.50. I ended up getting a 4th in the hunter hack, my flat was good, but my 2 fences werent the best. I chipped into both, with barely any pace and ended up getting a 8 in a 6 stride line. I got the same amount of strides as STORMERS!!! I ended up getting Reserve Champion, with Ari in Champion, 2 points ahead of me. Lexie had a great show with 2 points behind me, and Marina with 2 points behind Lexie! Lucy also had a great show, with numerous 1sts and 2nds. Hannah Butler had some trouble with Kenya, who after having a difficult round, was bucked off trotting towards the gate. Dana also showed Kenya, and the two of them did very well.
I'm really looking forward to doing Wine Country, it will be my second show doing the Childrens and the Onandarka. I'm hoping to have as good of rounds at WC as I did at Dickson. I know I definatly need to have a lot of pace, I was having a lot of trouble getting down the lines at Almaden. Lexie and I are going to do the 2'6 baton relay race on Saturday night, and were hoping to kick butt!
