Just saw Angels & Demons tonight with my mum. I'm a huge fan of the books, and mum and me enjoyed Da Vinci Code. So, it was only natural that we went to see it.
And OMG!
It was FUCKING AWESOME!!
Okay, I haven't read the book for a while now, but it was incredible!!
I sat there through the whole thing, the part of my mind that remembers the book thinking "I remember that, and that, and wow, that looks PAINFUL!" while the part that doesn't remember going "Ooh, what's he gonna do next? What's gonna happen around that door?"
The attention to detail is so awesome. It was almost like LotR all over again - taking something that I had a personal mental perception of, and changing it, altering it in good ways.
I seriously have nothing bad to say about this movie! The musical score was spectacular and worked wonderfully with the scenes, the actors were well chosen. And, tbh, all the publicity from the Church, trying to ban the film, added to the awesomeness that I thought it was!
From me? HIGHLY recommended!
Also, I have the sudden urge to call my future-daughter Seraphime. Sera for short. Is that bad?
