November 24, Thursday: At her families shrine

Mar 25, 2008 21:05

Like most holiday's the Shrine was bustling with a crowd.  The excitement in the air choked Arashi as she worked one of the shrine shops.  Today felt like the last day of her life and in a way it was.  Tomorrow she would start anew at a different school not only that but she would be a year older.  From what she heard it wasn't one of the bests but that just made it sound more interesting.  It was her birthday today and she believed that she could handle it as another year made her more confident even though she would rather be spending this special day doing other things then working here.

Her traditional red hakama and white shirt shifted around her as she walked around the stall having a sudden urge to do so. She had to contain the scuff as she studied her awkward brother surrounded by the condors, in their tight clothes, too much makeup, and swimming in their body sprays.  Kiyoshi always hated the attention he got from the girls especially when he was out walking the grounds.  They just couldn't resist him even if he brushed them off and rarely spoke, they would come back just to try to provoke him.

Arashi was just about to go save them when one of the volunteers at the shrine called her back.  The stall was getting busy again so she walked back around and took her spot behind the counter.  Kiyoshi would just have to sneak his own self out this time.
