Pet Peeve # 56
My pet peeve of the moment is: Misusage of Vocabulary!
So, I'm happily reading a serviceable VM fic. It's entertaining enough, and for the most part I'm enjoying it.
But the author keeps misusing the word "ironic". I feel an Alanis joke coming on here... GOD, I wish I could have betaed the fic. And now? I feel all kinds of bitchy and rude. *sigh* Would the author in question even want vocab help? Uh, not that I would ever give unsolicited crit.
Watch, I'll probably have ten misspellings, four grammatical errors, and six misused words. Karma's a bitch.
See? I'm pretty sure that "karma" is technically misused in this case.
