Ok. Today, actualy yesterday we went to the sister of one of my moms co-workers house and we looked at puppies.
There were four puppies still left to be taken. The mother was an english setter and their dad was a rottwieler. The mom was VERY sweet and obedient. The mother had 11 puppies and 4 died and 3 were sold and not there. The ones still left over I will describe, I dont know why, but I will. There was an orange/brown and black striped puppy, who was the alpha puppy and was sold. There was a little girl puppy who was really sweet. She was black and had white on her nose. She had really lose hips and we were afraid she would have trouble with them later in life. She was a wimp who cried when you picked her up and stuff, so we didn't get her. There was a little boy puppy who was black with white on his chest and a little white on his chin who was a walk off, so we didn't get him either. Finaly there was him. Another little boy was similar to the first, he had white on his chin, foot and chest. He had cute gray puppy eyes, they will change later. He was very 'rugged' as my mom called it. He had nice hips and a square chest. He was not a walk off and now he is VERY people oriented.
Of course, we chose him and now he is Achilles(a-kill-ees) our puppy. He is very nice and sweet and soft and quiet and will crawl into your lap. He doesn't cry a lot and almost already knows how to sit and stay. He likes me. Lol. He is soo cute and we hope to train him to be a hunting dog. Hopefully I can get a pic to put in here to show you guys.
Pooka hates us. We brought him home and Pooka came to see him and he peed himself! Pooka was crying and asking us to pet her. She was soooooo jealous! Achilles was a wimp and wouldn't come near her. Now they will sit next to eachother. Achilles licks her and she just ignores him. She doesn't understand that its for her own good. She will like him eventually.
Also, we have some new arrivals. The day after Memorial Day, 9 goslings hatched from Phantoms nest!! They were so yellow and cute!! I brought two to Mr. David's because we had no place to put them. We have 7 now, I gave two to Galen; he loves them. All of them are named. There is Henry, my favorite, Amber, the newest born and the one who i brought to Mr. David's with Henry. There is Azul(blue in Spanish), Purple Foot, named by my sister, he is also called Pie Azul, blue foot in Spanish. All of these spanish words sound better than just purple foot which is lame. There is the cripple who we taught to walk who couldnt AT ALL when we first found him. There is Mumbo and Jumbo(also called Little Tyke) who are identical, except for their sizes. Thats all.
They are so cute and they try and jump out of their kennel to run around with us. They try and follow us every where.
At first I let the babies sleep in my room in a box where the cat couldn't get them. On the second night, they were too loud so I slept downstairs and they were moved to the basement. lol.
We thought the big geese, my former goslings which are Buff and Chinese geese, would like them but they bite them and try and make them go away. The big geese think of the whole house as their territory and the babies don't belong to them so they must leave. I think they would try and kill them if they could. The Tuffted Romans and the Embdens try and make them come over, they know the are their babies.
Tim is here, ummmmmm. Tomorrow I have guitar. My brother is singing with a car commercial. Tim is weird and thats about all. I still have to fix this up. My journal is lame now.
