My personal canon is that if Aluwyn wanted to have toenails at any point, she'd reshape her body so that she has them. :)(Though of course she does have fingernails.)
It seems that Dawn keeps slipping people's memory now, rather than thy just outright don't know who she is. Personally I'm not expecting this to be a major part of the season arc, just a sub-plot like her one last season.
I'm thinking Aluwyn isn't evil. The big trap Willow is caught in, if we trust Marrak's words as accurate, is nobody's fault - it's an unfortunate consequence of the nature of witches' power. Aluwyn is caught in the same trap just as much as Willow is, so she's not the villain; she's another victim.
Thank you again for keeping me up to date on this title, since I'm not collecting it. I wonder if this will tie directly in some way to Dark Willow in Fray, or to Giles' ultimate fate being talked about in Angel & Faith.
It would be nice if this side story ended up serving a larger narrative. Of course, as suggested, it may be tied to Dawn in some way. With Angel rejoining Buffy's verse as far as both being published in the same continuity again - it's always possible that all of these will be interrelated in some way.
Well, Willow got to this plane in the first place through interacting with Angel, so that was probably our crossover right there. I am hoping, though, that the writers do start to draw all the threads together as we draw closer to the end of the season.
