Molly's Goals

I thought it was a good idea to show up with a to-do list, to make sure I didn't lapse into boredom and always had something to-do. Incredibly, I achieved all five things on my list!
  1. Flirt with every cute guy, especially those in shiny armour. This felt like a difficult goal as OOC not something I feel the least bit comfortable with. Molly did not have this concern. At all. With Lizzy as a partner in crime from time in on Friday to five minutes before time out on Sunday Molly was in fine form.
  2. Don't puke. Three days of drinking, including Sunday's mere 3 hours of being timed in, and no significant hangover either. Unexpected!
  3. Find someone who needs a crown and sell them a coronet. Managed this x 2. Also met someone who can make a diadem and would consider teaching.
  4. Get a ship named after me. Managed this thanks to Lizzy! Also gave Molly an excuse to talk in depth with a huge array of people and end up with a lot of very, very interesting intel for the Jolly Cutthroats.
  5. Get someone to offer me their cloak when it gets cold. It wasn't strictly a coat, and even though Chris reckons this was an easy goal you always need one sure thing on any list.
Sooo... will be needing new goals for next time! :D

The Amazing [and totally unexpected] IC
  • Not having to buy any of my own drinks
  • Getting a free VIP seat at the Novak's circus
  • Getting a free wooden rose for my hat
  • Blagging a gorgeous meal in the Jade Lotus
  • Blagging an orange off the Bakhana
  • Blagging a discount on marzipan
  • Acquiring feathers for hat
  • 'Winning' at dice
  • Awesome and appropriate roleplayed responses to Molly's flirting by 99% of targets
  • Molly not making any [known] female enemies as a result of said flirting
  • Having the freedom to compliment effusively anyone on anything as it's 'what Molly would have done'. Depending on your character there can be so little of this IC that it was nice to get to let other people preen IC, especially when they totally deserved it.
  • <3 Jolly Cutthroats I felt very home and well looked after. Sparking off of Spratt and Lizzy was So Much Fun.
  • <3 Papa Novaks Circus/Carnival. Heckling the show and getting intimately acquainted with... urrmm... 4 or 5 of them... the poi... the pearl necklaces... the bummings... urrrrm... :D
  • <3 Jizz
  • Meeting the King of the New World, his bodyguard, and his shiny sergeant
  • The guys on the ground outside the Caterpillar. I felt like I knew them even though we never spoke with words <3
  • The man with the breast helmet - he deserves an Oscar for not breaking his scowl despite repeated efforts from Molly to get him to crack
  • Sea shanties!
  • IC Sex
  • Managing to stay off the drugs despite having them literally thrown at me. Later, finding out what all the drugs I pocketed do, for future reference.
  • Not getting jobbed by undead or anyone else
  • Sanctuary/Euphoria and cake
  • Cock fighting
  • Getting the know the man who rowed the boat across the field
  • Selling a ring at nearly time out
  • Airship!
The Sad IC
  • Milktooth scared me. Really. The stuff that nightmares are made of!
  • Even though they weren't bothered, Ian and Alex getting their characters killed off for not being undead - and being looted for the grand sum of 3 frekkin riel. What the.
  • No opportunity to discuss inner thigh holsters. With anyone.
  • Saw only one superfast event in the arena
  • Not really successfully using any nom-de-plumes
  • Not blagging any red, yellow or black rum. Especially the yellow rum that tasted of sherbet lemons. Shouldn't have started out so cocky in the negotiations!
  • Hard to find certain groups of people, and even if you found their tent they usually weren't in
  • The Chamber of Delights burning down
  • Sanctuary/Euphoria burning down. Twice :(
  • Not managing to gatecrash the Flembic ball
  • Not getting the chance to learn how to shoot

The Good OOC
  • Shopping!
  • Getting the tank MOT'd, fixed and borrowed with one day to spare, and thus getting a ride up
  • Mark being well enough to take Linnea
  • Amazing weather
  • New corset fits like a snug hug and can be worn comfortably for 6+ hours
  • Buying my first very own sword for Elda
  • Ian buying my a beautiful necklace watch, which was used frequently as the crew were otherwise watchless
  • Shooting stars
  • Talking to Mark [the luchadore]
  • Sex
  • Not getting recognized OOC by someone who spent significant amount of time with me IC.
  • Hearing the the rest of the crew felt Molly fit in as well as I felt she did
  • Getting to braid Chris' hair, twice. Shhhhh don't tell Ian how much I enjoyed this...
  • Coffee shop coffee at discounted prices. OMFG iced coffee on site made life gooooood
  • Rules posted in the toilet stalls. Perfect!
  • Not having to express very often and not having to stress about accidentally decreasing supply
  • Sunday night to recover without having to pick up Linnea
  • Managing to stay sufficiently hydrated despite heat/sun/clothing
  • Minimum of sunburn (not like poor blistering Gaf)

The Bad OOC
  • Getting D&V the Monday before the event and not really feeling the excitement in the run up. Not a huge bad thing but could have done without the worry that Mark/Ian would catch it and be too poorly
  • White corset cannot be worn comfortably for 6+ hours, and causes bruising in one particular spot after sitting down. Still have bruising :(
  • A lot of hideously bad fitting corsets on otherwise attractive ladies - I want more eye candy and less corsetsuk!
  • Lack of toilets
  • Lack of showers
  • "Does this player pack contain my moneys and lammies from last event?" ::dismissive shrug:: "Count it and come back if it doesn't." How the fuck should I know if it's my first time playing and there aren't any rule books available to compare to the tables? I'm so-rry I didn't memorize it. And the lammies weren't in there and I did have to go back.
  • There never being anyone available to take photos
  • Unclear where and what weapons to have checked
  • No idea which queue was for what. A lot of people kept having to go to the back of a different queue and I felt sorry for them.
  • Loosing my [lammied] dagger on Friday night and it never turning up at GOD, with or without lammie. It didn't cost me much but was sad.
  • Ian loosing his [lammied] spear on Friday night and it never turning up at GOD, with or without lammie. Significant loss.
  • Not enough sex
  • No refs and not clear on how to spike peoples drink IC, this may have to become a goal for next time.
  • Air mattress, although repaired, loosing significant amounts of air
  • Almost everyone suffering from hayfever, even people who don't usually, from the heaps of dry grass
  • Not getting to catch up properly with Arran, in or out of character
  • Little Chef. Ugh. Never again.
  • Everyone tired and cranky and pissing each other off on the way home. Way to end an event guys. Sheesh.

I keep using the word unexpected and I think I just hadn't got my hopes up that any of it would happen. I keep smiling at remembered stray comments and I'm going to do my best to just treasure them all. I wish I had a better memory though! xx

Ian's taken Linnea out so now need to nap, drink more water and recover some before lunch.
