yeah, the red light problem is automatically covered for three years. nothing extra to buy or form to fill out or anything. i hadn't even registered my xbox until last night when i called for the repair. the failure rate on the first wave of 360s is so high that they've gotten plenty of experience and have really streamlined the return/repair process.
there is still plenty of time for things to go wrong, but so far i'm impressed with microsft for making things so easy on the consumer side.
i would have been MORE impressed with microsoft if my console hadn't just died a long, shuddering death... but, whatever.
we had a huge storm in SF and my internet was gone for a day and even though I had to go to work (scariest drive ever) I felt disconnected and anxious because the internets was gone at home.
that sucks though, about your xbox. our Wii froze the other day and my boyfriend almost panicked that it was broken.
