I know I've been needing to update for a while, but getting online is a tad difficult. Especially the last 2 to 3 days. It's been absolutly crazy. I know it's beena w hile so let me catch every one, and I'm sorry if I seem to say things that I have already written about, as I do not remember my last post. (That's pretty sad).
We went to AK. Had a great time, missed my husband dearly. Christian seemed to enjoy himself, but at that age you just don't know. Then 2 days after we got back, Troy's parents came for a visit. For the most part it was a good visit. I did feel rather left out though. There were nights where I was home, bymyself and I felt like I should have been included in the family activities (troy was working).
I started back to work on August 20th. It was good to get back into the game, but I walked into a major mess and it's just now getting cleaned up. Our GM was "let go" and the management company brought in one of their better managers and things have been wonderful. He is really working on getting things done and is thankful for me and my computer knowledge. While I will be the first to admit that I'm still learning all about computers, I have enough knowledge ( I did go to school for them for heavens sake) to know when a computer has been fried by virus's. So we are working on getting a new one for our business center so that we won't continue to lose business.
I'm working lead days, which is tuesday through saturday 7-3. However, they are changing things so that we only work 4 and 1/2 days because of everyone getting a bunch of OT. However, that will give us some playing room to make sure that we get 40 hrs.
Then this past weekend, we spent friday night/saturday morning in the ER with Christian. When we picked him up from daycare, one of his eyes was watering. By the time we got home, after running an errand or 2, we saw that his eye was almost swollen shut and that his cry was not normal. So Troy took his temp. It was 99.9 and since they really want him in the ER when it's around 100.4, we thought this was something to be looked at. We get to the ER and we are the last damn ones to be called into a room. By the time we get into a room it's almost 9 pm (we got there about 6pm). The Dr comes in and takes a look, says he wants a chest x-ray (Christian was congested) and a urinalysis. Well, they take his vitals before we go and his temp was 100.3. His x-ray and everything was clear. Then they retake his vitals and his temp spiked to 102.1. THe Dr then ordered blood work and a blood culture rather quickly. His white blood cell count was 25000 (high normal is 10000). So the dreaded thing happened. The dr came in and said that he had to do a spinal tap. I just couldn't believe this. I had to watch my little boy go through spinal tap, which turned out to be completely normal. Well the dr. said then it was probably just a blood infection (JUST a blood infection I thought) and that through his IV they would give him some strong anti-biotics and to follow up with peds in the morning. Well the Culture grew nothing, so they have no damn clue about what is wrong with my little guy. SO far his temp has stayed down, but still in the 99 range. It was 99.9 yesterday but baby tylenol brought it back down. Just hate feeling so helpless.
So that's what's been going on. Been rather busy, and I will do my best to keep this updated. And yes, I will work on my webpage over the next few days and update with new pics. I'm so exhausted but I need to go get hubby. Hope Everyone has a great weekend!!!
Love to all,
~Nita
