Livejournal, you skanky thing

There's this... deep disturbance on lj lately concerning the whole lj-to-twitter and lj-to-facebook crossposting option. Personally, I'm not so much bothered since I largely use Deepest Sender (Firefox add-on) to post my entries and so I didn't at all get wind of this new development until luvscharlie posted about it. So, I can understand the brouhaha but it doesn't affect me much at this moment (please don't change, DS. I like you just the way you are). But I'm definitely not turning on the automatic post-to-twitter option. And hell NO on facebook. I'm not about to share my fandom bits and bats with some people I hardly talk to or who hardly give a damn about Harry Potter, Gossip Girl, Sky High, or any of the other stuff. Not to mention that it's none of their business... As for the comment section, well, I haven't seen the changes yet -- yeahhh I've just been replying to comments from email so far, I'm such a bad lj'er.

But anyhow, regarding all that, please don't crosspost my entries elsewhere. In any case, I've got the pingback option on, though I don't know if it works for social media. Guess we'll see. But I can't say that I'm totally unhappy about the lj-to-twitter option... I use @stormsandsins for fandom-y things and used to use @loudtwitter to crosspost from twitter to lj. So, when I post fic -- and we all know I've been lagging behind on actually posting stuff from burnthe_city to my own lj -- I'll be able to actually let you know on twitter. Woot.

Now, regarding burnthe_city, I've got an old fic to post here. Oh, not to mention my gossipink fic, which I'm actually not that proud of but whatever, you be the judges.
