It's my dad's birthday today, but on lj-land it's also
kerosinkanister's big day as well. So happy birthday to both! At least it's one lj birthday I can't likely forget, lol. How old are you again, old man? ;P
Right. I just watched Blair's birthday party/necklace ep scenes in GG s1 to transcribe it because I'm thinking of writing the next chapter of Awareness, yet Leaving Marks is also calling for attention. I had a great time writing the beginning of the next chapter for that fic last week. Came naturally :) But we'll see.
Tomorrow night we're crossing the street to party with the neighbours. My sister's in-laws will be there (I may have mentioned this before, but Amy and hubby were childhood friends, so we've all known each other forever) so that won't be so awesome. They're your regular monsters-in-law. Egh.
For the French language aficionados, you might be interested in watching a fun year-in-review type of comedy show called Bye Bye which will air online at 11pm EST on the 31st. It used to air on tv but there was a
scandal (racial slurs against Muslims and Obama) regarding last year's show so Radio-Canada refused to air it this year. This is a
classic bilingual sketch done in the 1970 show with then-popular comic Olivier Guimond, commenting on that year's October Crisis. Before the 2000's, the show was the awesomest thing ever!
ETA: By the way, I forgot to provide the link for this year's Bye Bye (which I just learned has been renamed Ciao 2009 so Radio-Canada can't sue the independent project). Voilà!
ciao2009.com Tune in tomorrow night!
