1. Chuck found her in the bedroom, silhouetted by the crawling city beyond the bay window.
2. "Blair," seven year-old Serena announced gravely as eight year-old Blair tried without success to wipe her damp sand-smeared hands on the side of the sandbox.

Conclusion: Well obviously there's been a recent outpouring of poetry, but otherwise I can't really find a clear pattern. Last year I said I had "a thing for missed opportunities and drawn-out as well as broken sentences." I think I've overcome that rather effectively, at least for first lines. There's a lot about fear and running away, but that's consistent with Chuck's freaked out mindset this past season so I was just going with the flow.

As for writing... I'm hoping to get a bead on my muse for the gossipink challenge because that's due in three weeks and I'm nothing if not completely anal about punctuality. So yep. Off for the night, but dayum I've had a good read today with Rhev and co. I'm a little past the bug chamber and uncle scene and just into the "a month later" thing with Ehlena at, I presume, Montrag's mansion.

Oh hi, "indescribable" icon. I quite love you, and your sizzliness of 2x25 which you PWNED. Seriously, I loved that scene better than the fluffy cuteness at the end. Tells you how gaga I am over UST (and that's Unresolved Sexual Tension for those who didn't know). UST > fluff, definitely.
