another road block

*snort* No wonder crush and I have have been treading cautiously these past years. He had no business being sick! *shakes fist at the sky and rolls eyes* Gosh!

Moving on, because that's just so unfair. Anyway. My kata's getting slightly better. I'm having trouble with kata guruma which is a shoulder wheel. But that's all right. The kata is THE darnedest thing you'll ever learn in judo. It's all about perfect form. You can't walk normally, but you have to shuffle. Start with the left foot. You can't turn your back on the examinator (at this point I just can't turn out back to the sensei - teacher - who's overlooking our technique). You have to strike a certain way. Some throws start in the middle, others at either end of the tatamis (mats). There is an exact order. When you're done with a set you have to fix your clothing and face each other at the same time. And so on. It's very, very precise.

Luckily, though, Zander and I are good partners for one another. We've known each other a long time, we went to school together and are on friendly terms, so it's not like we're completely estranged and don't feel comfortable. And we're both comfortable with our bodies. I can't begin to tell you how difficult it is to work with a teenaged boy who needs to loosen his limbs so everything doesn't feel strung tight and awkward. So yeah, it feels great to practice with someone who knows how to hold themselves together because you know you can depend on them and vice-versa.

Although it would real nice if crush could get his brown belt soon :D

Okay, back to typing Politics essay! I'm not nearly done... *grumble grumble*
